Sometimes in family dynamics one child is designated the “all good” child. That child often shares the mother’s negative perceptions of the other sibling designated as the “no good” child. Children perceived as all good are typically loyal and protective of their mother and loyalty is rewarded, whereas the price of betrayal is symbolic beheading, the child is often cut off, ostracized and estranged. Entering therapy with these issues is often painful but there is freedom and release!
