I am reading once again “Man’s Search For Meaning” by Viktor Frankl. This is the 20th time I have read the book. It is a classic that should be read every year, but I do miss a year now and then. I wore out my first book with 19 X’s indicating 19 readings, so I just got my latest copy. Harold S. Kushner states it is a “profoundly religious book.” Frankl saw three possible sources for meaning: in work (doing something significant), in love (caring for another person), and in courage during difficult times. Suffering in and of itself is meaningless; we give our suffering meaning by the way in which we respond to it.
May God Bless your Day!
