Vagus Nerve Center
Coaching Tip #1
The vagus nerve runs from the brain (central nervous system) directly to the stomach down to the small and large intestines. The stomach speaks to the brain (sends signals) and the brain speaks to the stomach.
The vagus nerve delivers information about the gut, liver, heart and lung health to the brain. The gut is also called our second brain.
Whenever we are in fight, flight, high stress, or runaway thoughts we can control it via the vagus nerve: deep belly breathing, loud water gargling, and slow foot massage.
Immerging your face and cheeks in cold water, and laughter. These techniques lift our mood, help pain management and wellbeing.
Tip #2 will follow – Rewire your brain from anxiety.
